My story is, first and most foremost, dedicated to my father, Erick. After all, half of what I am is he. He was the life of every family get-together and the wittiest man I ever knew. The combination of wit and wisdom is rare and getting rarer in this world today. I can only hope that my efforts would meet his approval.

Other inspirations have been authors whose work I have found to combine wit and wisdom also.

In no specific order they are:

Solomon - If you read just one book of the bible read Proverbs. Imagine how hard it was to integrate wit into that subject.

William Shakespeare - Anyone who can pen "Get thee to a nunnery" when what he meant was "You are a whore" is O.K. in my book.

Dale Carnegie - Who wrote "How to Win Friends and Influence People" over 70 years ago, and it's still as useful today as the day he wrote it.

And my favorite. (I quote and paraphase him all the time)

Mark Twain. You may have read some of his quotes, as I put them on my profile page here on Fable Fanon, on Fable Answers and in the Home section.

I would also be remiss if I did not mention two non-fiction writers whose theories have inspired me. They are Zecharia Sitchin [[1]] and Erich von Daniken [[2]]. Although their works are intended as fact they can be enjoyed even if considered fiction.

I hope you enjoy my cathartic release.
